About Conference
The development of the world today is not only focused on the progress of individual nations. All nations worldwide need to collectively achieve progress and success through extensive knowledge sharing. Nurturing and developing the shared beliefs, practices and traditions will preserve the identity and values of the nation. Cultivating traditions and culture ensures that a nation maintains its unique identity, traditions, and values. Basically, Islamic culture encompasses principles derived from the Quran and Sunnah, guiding individual and communal behavior and at the same time encourages learning and intellectual growth. By promoting education and cultural exchange, a nation can advance intellectually and contribute to global progress. Culture acts as a unifying force, bringing people together despite diverse backgrounds. By preserving cultural heritage, a nation ensures that future generations understand their roots and origins.

The sharing and dissemination of knowledge through various mechanisms are crucial in fostering an environment conducive to intellectual growth within society. In alignment with the advancing technological landscape, platforms and efforts to diversify methods and interventions toward cultivating excellent knowledge should be harnessed. This facilitates the proliferation of learning for the benefit of both the community and the nation. It is essential that all stakeholders actively promote knowledge cultivation, enabling individuals to utilize existing knowledge for personal development and contribute to the well-being of the community.

Therefore, the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), Universiti Teknologi MARA, Perak Branch in collaboration with Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol will be organizing the International Conference in Islamic Contemporary Studies 2024 (ICICS 2024). The aim is to provide a platform for sharing ideas from various perspectives and skill areas, with the hope of addressing current challenges faced by Muslims and enhancing education and Islamic civilization through fresh and innovative ideas.
